For all HK cos, we have 2 sets of numbers representing them – one is the cert of incorporation number (1406646 for CHL), we normally call this company number and used in all documents submitting to HK Companies Registry.

Another set of no. representing the company is the business registration number (51636731-000-12-15-1 for CHL), this set of number was generated by HK Inland Revenue Department, which is more or less representing the tax file number of the company. We generally used it when dealing with our Tax Authority.
