Survey questions were designed to measure
changes in student confidence and enjoyment of
the class. When asked how often students used
the Prezi study guide, 9% answered almost every
day, 47.4% answered 2 to 3 times a week, 27%
answered once a week, and 16.5% answered once
or not at all. Students were asked how confident
they felt writing the 12-step procedure by the end
of the term. Prior to implementation, 38% of students
reported feeling highly confident, 31% felt
above average confidence, and 31% felt somewhat
confident. Post implementation, students responded
to this question with 51% feeling highly confident,
28% feeling above average confidence, and
21% feeling somewhat confident. Comparing the
results indicated a 13% increase in students feeling
highly confident writing the 12-step procedure
by the end of the term. This increase appeared to
be linked to use of the Prezi study guide. Students
were asked if they enjoyed the class and
74.5% answered “highly enjoyed” the class pre implementation
while 83% “highly enjoyed” the class
post implementation. A net increase of 8.5% occurred
that appeared to be the result of using multimedia
tools to support students’ ability to study
the content.
