From the background of this research (in chapter 2-4 including the literature reviews) it
was found that even though QSAM has been widely used across various industries, there
still has been no achievement of implementing QSAM within service industries. This gap
is due to a number of reasons, such as its design which was developed based on the
industrial sector, as well as the distinguishing characteristics of service operations which
significanly differ from those of the industrial sector.
