The distinct decline in vitamin C content by 31e42 g/100 gunder the greeneblack and redeblack hailnets compared withunprotected control fruits (Fig. 3) was due to the light promotion ofascorbic acid synthesis (Solomakhin & Blanke, 2008a). Fruits underwhite hailnet contained 6% more and under redewhite 10% lessascorbic acid vs. control fruits i.e. negligible differences in theirhealth attribute.
