amide-II of fish gelatin decreased in presence of bergamot essentialoil (15%–25%). Moreover, two bands at 925–853 cm−1, associatedto the skeletal stretching vibration of C C bonds (Guerrero et al.,2011), are more observable in the films incorporated with essentialoil. These peaks have become sharper with increasing oil contents,which is presumably attributed to the more interactions of poly-mer and oil. Finally, the new peak at 810 cm−1can be correlatedto a participation of different groups such as out-of-plane C Hbending (aromatic structures), which is characteristics of carvacrol(major component of OEO) (Altiok et al., 2010; Sherman Hsu, 1997).
