the voice in “Unsteady” is front and center, plaintively crying out in desperation. Sam Harris sings, “Hold, hold on, hold onto me / Cause I'm a little unsteady / A little unsteady.”
Taken literally, the song describes a child stuck in between fighting parents who are about to divorce. Harris continues, “Mama, come here / Approach, appear / Daddy, I'm alone / Cause this house don't feel like home / If you love me, don't let go.”
The message of “Unsteady” is apparently resonating, as it nudges up to No. 10 on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart and continues to climb the lower half of the iTunes Top 200 chart in the U.S. The fact that the mood and melody of the track are so different
