Nurses have to support the children in cases were parental behavior is influenced by a lack of time. For example, when the parents have little time for the topical anesthetic to be effective, the nurses takes over as much as possible: If the parents say, ‘we don't need the local anesthetic, our parking time is going out’. Then they'll have to come another day. For the benefit of the child nurses occasionally blame their lack of time to delay the procedure by the physicians. The nurses maintain that a lack of time should not negatively affect the children or the parents during the procedure.
