Most part-time fixed term employees will be covered by an award or enterprise agreement. The award or agreement will set out their other minimum conditions, such as pay rates, penalties, allowances and meal breaks. The award or agreement may also contain special rules for part-time employees. It is your responsibility to find out whether an award or agreement applies to your employee and to comply with it.
