Tokyo, Jia Xiang--the Niwano Peace Foundation will confer the Niwano Peace Prize to-31 to mother Dena Merriam, founder and leader of the Global Peace Initiative of Women, in acknowledging its contribution to mankind in the search for wisdom as well as for the world a more just and sustainable.

In choosing Dena Merriam as the recipient of the award for 2014, the Peace Prize Committee says he is a global leader in bringing together sounds and energy of women who were inspired by their faith so that they actually form the core of a global movement that is unprecedented.
