Facebook doesn’t need an introduction; it is a social media platform having billions of users. The key factors in the success of this site are simplicity, easy navigation, fast access and most importantly innovation. The Facebook desktop site is elegant and has eye catching design.

In my personal experience, running Facebook app on an Android or iOS device is much more fun than the actual site. The app is very responsive, beautifully designed and well structured in term of navigation.

Installing the Facebook app in your Android or iOS device i.e. iPad, iPhone or iPod only takes 2-3 minutes depending on your network speed.

How to Install?

iOS Installation

There are two simple ways to install Facebook in your iOS device.

Simply go to App Store on your device and search for “Facebook” in search bar and then download the app.


Download the Facebook app in iTunes on your desktop computer and then sync the apps to your iOS device.


Android Installation

There are also two ways to install Facebook in your Android device regardless of it is cell phone or a tablet.

Go to the Play Store on your Android device and search for “Facebook” in search bar and then click on “download” button.


Just visit the Google Store on your desktop computer and then login with the same account which you use in your Android device. After that, just click on “install” button. As soon as your device goes online, the app will be downloaded.


How to use Facebook app?

There is a slight difference between the iOS and Android versions of the Facebook apps, but the basics are same. I have been using both versions since they are launched a few years ago. At first the app was not as responsive as the actual site, and has limited features. But I appreciate the efforts of the developing team behind these great apps which are now very responsive, fast and rich in features.

If you are using Facebook from the actual site and have either an iOS device or Android device then in my honest opinion you should try these apps at least once.

The features I like the most.

Auto rotation is a great innovation in phone industry. I love to see the rotation of screen according to my convenience when I use Facebook on my iPad or Android phone. In fact the right chat box is hidden by default in the app when the device is in vertical position, but when you rotate device to the landscape position, the chat box appears.

In the term of design layout and app navigation there is no comparison between the app and the actual Facebook site. Using Facebook on a touch screen is a very different experience.

It is admirable work from the Facebook developing team who put all features of actual site in iOS and Android versions of the Facebook. You can access the Account Settings, Policy and Logout button too in the app.
