This study set out to assess the degree of job stress and QWL among Iranian hospital employees. From the results of this study, the job stress level of hospital employees can be seen to be classed in a medium scale, mainly because of inadequate pay, inequality at work, excessive workload, inadequate staffing levels, poor promotion opportunities, lack of job security and lack of management support. Job stress was found negatively related to employees’ quality of working life and positively related to turnover intention. The findings revealed that organizational policies had the strongest correlation with overall employee job stress. Organizational policies such as benefit and promotion programmes and work equality, and organizational strategies such as downsizing, restructuring and re-engineering result in a change in the nature of work for many employees and eventually their lay off or relocation. Thus, hospital policies and strategies should be changed to reduce organizational sources of stress.

Studi ini menetapkan untuk menilai tingkat stres kerja dan QWL antara karyawan rumah sakit Iran.
