The five journals that received the highest number of ratings (the “most popular”) journals are ISg journals, plus Communications of the ACM and the Harvard Business Review. However, the four dedicated eCommerce journals that were rated most appropriate for eCommerce research still appear in the top ten most popular journals. There is a downward trend for most of the dedicated eCommerce journals while the well known ISg journals move upward when popularity rankings are compared with the appropriateness rankings.
