Later in September 2014, a representative
of the new landlord telephoned me to say that the new landlord, whose name is Mr Gaurav Dhawan, wanted to negotiate with me the rent and the number of cheques for the apartment. I informed Mr. Dhawan's representative that RERA had advised me that the tenancy contract had automatically been renewed on the exact same terms and conditions. On this telephone call I also asked the representative for Mr. Dhawan's title deed for this apartment to prove that he is the new legal owner of the apartment. The representative said "fine". So I confirmed a time for the representative to come to the apartment to collect the rental cheques and provide a copy of Mr. Dhawan's title deed for the apartment. The representative never came to the apartment.
