This requires employers to carry out COSSH assessments identifying and listing hazardous substances and determine the hazard and risk assessment with medical treatment if exposed.
Classification of Substances may include toxic, very toxic, dangerous for the environment harmful, irritant, corrosive, flammable, carcinogenic, toxic for reproduction, explosive, radioactive, substances with a maximum exposure level, biological material, airborne dust particles or other comparable risk substances.
The packaging for dangerous substances should be suitable, prevent leakage and withstand expected handling condoling conditions and have reusable closures. Packaging should be labels witj the Name and address and telephone number of the supplier, the name of the substance, the EEC number, the hazard symbol and danger indication and the risk nd safety phrases in full;

The substance classification as carcinogenic, mutagenic or toxic for reproduction must be labeled as restricted for professional users. Fastenings should also be child proof and not of design that would attract children.
