The lack of empirical evidence to pinpoint the root cause of teen pregnancy in Pathumthani , that is not to say that social scientist over the world have not made conscious efforts to study their own teenagers. Education and socio-economic status were found to be inversely related to early and multiple births, that the main ideal age for first pregnancy among young women was 21.8 years, but that the actual age for first pregnancy was 17.6 years,UNICEF Belize, 1997. Some researchers focused on the direct link of teen pregnancy to coitus while others are more concerned with social and economic status. According to Melissa Fox,health professor of Enzine article, the factors influencing teen pregnancy are, experimenting with sex, peer pressure, failure of contraceptives and household environment. Other researchers listed lack of moral value caused by poor religious faith, alcohol use, media effect, and lack of teen
infrastructure(s). Although the factors are many, there seem to be one consistency, that teen pregnancy in largely dependent on the environment of the individual.
