The court of Ayudhya was known for its fabled hospitality to foreigners, through its practice of providing property for settlement to diplomatic agents as well as its policy of allowing the practice of different religious beliefs without restraint.The tolerance of the Siamese court to foreign influence provided opportunities for talented foreigners to rise to prominence in the city. In acknowledgement of this tradition of openness in Ayudhyan culture at Iudia we have named the guestrooms after the famous (and the infamous) foreign visitors and residents of the old capital.
