I purchased a AVH-X8550bt and when the external Pioneer amp-sub is on the volume kicks in and out above #15. Without the sub there is no problem and I can increase the volume all I want. I remember on a previous Pioneer car stereo I had, had a "overpower protection circuit breaker" that would do the same but at almost full power (volume). Is this the same issue and why is it at such a low volume? Everything is pioneer from the head unit to the amp, sub, speakers. I am sure this unit can handle much much much more than a 700W amp and a 10".
Thank you
