Dear All, please see below for your information:
Travel to France is now Controlled for ExxonMobil personnel until further notice to ensure the affiliate can track all EM visitors in country and contact them in case of an emergency:
• All international business travelers to France will need to send an email to the LCM’s designated contact, Devigee Mootien (email) to provide details of Name, Flight/Train/Ferry#, Car?, Arrival Date, Departure Date, Hotel/Local Accommodation details, France Host contact and Cellphone. On submission, travel should be deemed as approved on the basis that the guidance below is followed:
· ¬International travelers to France by all means of transport should obtain regular functional approval ahead of their travel and submit the above mentioned information 48 hours before travelling to the LCM’s designated contact (the LCM should not be copied on this mail);
· ¬International travelers already in country at this time should communicate the same details as mentioned above and adjust their trip plans to below guidance;
· ¬No personal side trips or extended stays are permitted – travelers to Paris planning personal trips as part of their business travel should cancel them;
· ¬All local and international business travelers should avoid staying in hotels downtown in the center of major cities (namely Paris, Toulouse, Marseille, Lyon);
· ¬If the business purpose – meeting or training – requires staying in a hotel downtown personnel should limit movements outside the hotel; contact GS for further advise;
· ¬All local and visiting employees are advised not to plan business related social events at restaurants and locations in major cities;
· ¬At train stations, travelers are advised to board the train as soon as it is ready, limit stay at busy areas and restaurants within the station and if arriving early to check with the taxi driver / host for a quiet place nearby the stations where the traveler could wait. Pre-booking taxis or using hire cars may reduce your exposure by comparison with public transport.
· Local employees leaving France should refer to the Global Security website for advice on travel advice for their planned destination, as per normal procedures.
• Travelers who are transiting and not leaving the airport are not required to submit the above details (provided travelers stay airside at the airport and take note of the below Security contact details in case of flight cancellations or events dictate leaving the airport).
