before I joined the firm in Riyadh transferring from Jordan office, I have been promised to get an annual increment on my salary as my salary has not been matching with my grade level as C3, manger. I have joined the firm by October 2014 and after spending a full year with the firm in Riyadh, I’ve been evaluated and has got no increment on my salary (just got a bonus). In the second year, the same scenario was repeated and has got no increment (just got a bonus), which made me shocked. The feedback from all managers I’ve got were excellent and I’ve spent great efforts and time to get everything done on time with no delay to meet our critical deadlines especially during the high season. In my point of view, I was expecting to get at least 10% increase on my salary to be consistent with the inflation occurred in the country recently, in addition to match my salary with the grade level. I want to emphasis here that I’ve translated approximately 775 job since joined the firm in Riyadh which will around 400 job per year. In fact this number of jobs has been made with a high quality assured for client satisfaction and all managers attest to this. As a financial translation expert and from my experiences in the Big4 audit firms, I’ve provided the best world practices in this industry. I am also started to build a translation team contains high quality translators as we already hired one resource and in the process to hire additional one to meet the increasingly demand for translation services in our office at KPMG. From my deep knowledge and experience, I know that all people in office suffer from inconsistency, inaccuracy and many other related-ArabicEnglish translation issues which I tried since I joined the firm to solve those issues and have provided my best efforts to avoid any issue and to add value to KPMG products and services and to raise the level of the translation team at KPMG.
