"Because everything God created
is good, and nothing is to be
rejected if it is received with
thanksgiving" [1 Timothy 4:4]

... Everything God created is
good ????

How about unclean creatures?
How about evil?

If you are a Torah reader, you
would get confused with this
translation. Of course, this is a
mistranslation. Look at the Greek
script.

"ὅτι πᾶν κτίσμα θεοῦ
καλόν καὶ οὐδὲν
ἀπόβλητον μετὰ
εὐχαριστίας λαμβανόμενον"

The Greek word 'κτίσμα (
ktisma; He created)' IS NOT
USED in Genesis 1:1. It's '
ἐποίησεν (epoiesen)'. Its
original form is 'ποιέω (
poieo-)'.

This verb means just "to do /
make [to something / someone]"

'κτίσμα (He created)' came from
the verb 'κτίζω (ktizo-)'; "to make
a place / region / island habitable
to people". Another brother verb
'κτάομαι' means "to acquire (by
any means; own): obtain, possess,
provide, purchase).

So we should translate this verse
"Everything God created is good"
as "Anything God arranged is the
beautiful".

This translation would be suitable.
Why? Just read 1 Timothy 4:1-4
and think again. The verse are
talking about the foods made by
God.

So "Everything God created is
good" is very wrong translation.

Abba (Heavenly Father) will choose
something to bless for you. You
should receive it, not reject. :-)
