Moreover, the image of a sample of fresh orange juice (see Fig. 7) which was stored using a nano-silver coated film, shows nano sized silver particles with their silver content confirmed according to EDS analysis. In contrast, silver particles were not detected in any of the controls or from food samples stored in rigid containers impregnated with nano-silver. This indicates that there are many factors which affect the level of ENP migration, including particle size, whether the nanoparticles are in contact with the food ma- terial, as well as the nature of the food in contact with the pack- aging, and the results showed that no change had occurred of a chemical or biochemical nature in the food samples.According to several authors, methods to detect nanoparticles in food are still in the developmental stage
