We went through experiential training ,exploring attitudes, and making behavioral commitments. We identified the real purpose of international expansion, which was not to get things "on the board" or "to score" but to produce solutions to business problem. We wanted long-term investments in our field that would have acceptable risk profiles and higher growth than had in our core business. We worked on how individuals could commit themselves to assist the new effort, to produce real not binders reports, or smoky projections.
