Sorry to keep bothering you about 05 Walton
For the ground floor stone pattern, I know the client wanted to use ceramic/ porcelain tile in an anti-slip finish as it is better for cleaning and preventing stains, the supplier has made a sample but the way ceramic tiles are made, it’s not that easy to cut them, so they will have larger grout joints in between them. I have attached a picture of the sample you can see what quality it will turn out, I am not sure you will be happy with it overall. (the pictures are named ceramic option)
As an alternative option, the Stone contractor is proposing to do it with real marble, but add a special seal to it so it repels things like Coco cola/ red wine
See picture below of stone repelling the wine… if the wine is wiped up relatively quickly and not left overnight then it will not stain. With this stone- we can get the joints much smaller almost invisible with these stone (see pictures called Marble)
Please can you confirm if the client still wants the ceramic, or does she want to change to the marble with the stain proofing? We need to let the stone contractor know quicky as they are making it. I just want to show you the joints as they are quite big on the ceramic and not as neat!
If you want to see samples in real life, I can get Franks team to collect them from my office and bring them to 08 Walton or 05 Walton for you to see.
