CRS Jet Spares is expanding its customer property overhaul program to include services such as additional technical resources and new capabilities from members of the CRS preferred vendors network. Vendors qualify for inclusion after having been approved through the AS9120/ISO9001 quality management process. “The CPO program is particularly important for the small flight department. They don’t have the same level of access to technical information and support from the vendors and OEMs as we do. What CPO does is leverage our experience and access on their behalf. We send out millions of dollars of repair work each year; we know who to call to solve problems,” Jack Caloras, vice president of sales and operations, told AIN. Caloras stressed CRS Jet Spares is an AS9120/ISO9001 company. “We have the quality-control procedures in place to approve vendors. That’s a big help for smaller flight departments because we maintain the standardization and quality issues. We have just added a customer advocate and dedicated a manager to the CPO process to increase our responsiveness to the customer,” he said.
