From the findings gained in the current study and of previous researchers, it
can be inferred that although it is factors other than flow that prevent procrastinators
from achieving less well academically compared with nonprocrastinators,
students are deluding themselves if they believe that procrastination may have
little impact on performance because it allows them to achieve a sustained level
of flow. Although it is not actually connected to increased academic achievement,
the flow of procrastinators makes them feel as if they study effectively in a
short time and leads them to self-satisfaction in their achievement. Therefore, an
implication of the results in this study is that it is necessary for teachers to let
students know that the flow-like experiences that result from cramming do not
lead to high achievement.

Dari temuan yang diperoleh dalam penelitian ini dan peneliti sebelumnya,
dapat disimpulkan bahwa meskipun faktor-faktor lain dari aliran yang mencegah penunda
dari mencapai kurang baik akademis dibandingkan dengan nonprocrastinators,
siswa menipu diri mereka sendiri jika mereka percaya bahwa penundaan mungkin memiliki
dampak yang kecil pada kinerja karena memungkinkan mereka untuk mencapai tingkat yang berkelanjutan
dari aliran. Meskipun tidak benar-benar terhubung dengan peningkatan prestasi akademik,
aliran penunda membuat mereka merasa seolah-olah mereka belajar secara efektif dalam
waktu singkat dan membawa mereka ke kepuasan diri dalam prestasi mereka. Oleh karena itu,
implikasi dari hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa perlu bagi guru untuk membiarkan
siswa tahu bahwa pengalaman aliran-seperti yang dihasilkan dari menjejalkan tidak
menyebabkan prestasi tinggi.
