one of the striking chacteristics of Hegle's philosophy is his Logic. He tought he had devoloped a perfact logic system that supposedly corrected the inadequacies of Aristotelian logic. The word "dialectic" best fits Hegle's logic, and it has often been portrayed as a rather mechanical warning between thesis and antitheesis,with the resulf being a synthesis.Yet, his logic was not quite that inflexible, for it included many variations and shadings of the triadic categonries.Even more to the point,Hegle conceived of thought as a continuum,not a series of mechanical synthetic unions.
