When you are happy with the survey, choose Send Survey. This will generate a URL for you to send to respondents. SurveyMonkey gives you loads of options to share the URL, including by e- mail, Twitter, Facebook, and MailChimp, among others (see Figure 9-8).
When publicizing your survey, you should explain who you are and why you are doing the research. Most importantly, tell people if you are offering an incentive for their involvement.
We have found Twitter to be a particularly effective way of promoting surveys, even though the character limit can cause issues. You can also launch surveys via pop-ups on your client’s website. These can work well despite how disruptive they can be to users. Bear in mind that you will need to speak to technical colleagues to find out how the survey will be launched. You may also be able to trigger the survey to show to users who are doing certain tasks if you need to segment respondents in any way.
Make any incentive suitable based on what you are asking people to do. Can you offer an incentive that users can redeem immediately? This will often make people more likely to respond.
