Vegetable oils can be a rich source of antimicrobial
agents [32]. For this reason, the NLCs–GTE samples were
tested for their ability to develop antimicrobial activity
against Escherichia coli, which is a contamination indicator
of food. The zone of inhibition was measured and
expressed in millimeters. All of the experiments were
performed in triplicate, and the results are reported as the
average of these three experiments.
