Similar patterns existed for soil phosphorus content but the difference among Homegardens and Field were significant only in the Flat category (table 1) with availabailities of about 30 kg at steep to 45 kg in the Flat categories, the values were sufficient for crop growth in all inclinations. Soil potassium content was always marginally higher in fields than in Home gardens in moderte category, despite the greater difference between Flat and Steep. Soil pH was between 6.2 and 6.7, and stop soil bulk density (BD) was 1.52 Mg in Flat and Moderate categories and 1.60 Mg in the steep category, both parameters were not influenced by either being Homegardens or Field, irrespective of history of using green manure.
