We've been informed by the Group that they did not approve the
dispensation 2.6 regarding custodian annual review:
Custodians
All entities are required to formalize a contract with each custodian
to agree on minimal quality of service. Provisions stating that AXA
should bear credit or operational loss must not be entered into.
Annual activity reviews must be organized with each custodian, to
review at least the quality of service and operational incidents.
We've been instructed to formulate action plan ASAP.
There is no formal Group guideline on the review. Hong Kong is also
doing the annual review now using the Internal Service Auditor's
report from Citibank. We will also need this document from Citi and
you would have to write something on it regarding quality of service,
agreed versus actual, and a list of operational incidents, if any. I
think this should be part of annual LMIC/BIC agenda.
