his study was conducted to investigate thetreatment performance of anaerobic organism for stabilizedleachate under ambient air condition. The treatability oflandfill leachate was tested under various influences includ-ing pH, dosage of anaerobic organism and contact time.Laboratory experiment revealed that anaerobic organism wasin progressive state when the leachate in neutral condition. Atthis phase, the removal efficiency of chemical oxygendemand (COD), ammoniacal nitrogen (NH3–N) and colour of76.84, 59.44 and 46.2 %, were experimentally attained. Theexperimental results also showed that the the optimum vari-ables condition was established at pH 7 of leachate sample,dosage of 100 mL of anaerobic organism and required14 days to reduce the COD, NH3–N and colour pollutants to65.5, 60.2 and 46.3 %, respectively. The preliminary inves-tigation shows that the anaerobic organisms were able toremediate leachate pollutants by the microbial activity in theleachate sample under ambient air condition
