Demolition is part of the construction costs. Upgrading cannot be carried out without the necessary demolition.
Since Deloitte had insisted that we engaged American Appraisal to value the work done, we will have to accept the valuation accordingly
I should also add that our payments were based on supporting claims from DADB, verfications from Khun Pitak and certifications from Plan Architects and MSA GlobalWorks. Surely, it would be wrong to ignore all these supporting documents.
(Like I said many times before, property valuers are not necessarily quantity surveyors. It appears that the property valuer is basing his valuation on submitted documents, which may not necessarily reflect the ACTUAL amount of work done onsite. We are actually regressing rather than progressing.)
