While organization culture, is receiving considerably more management attention than in
previous years, research shows that fewer than 10% of organizations succeed at building highperformance
cultures. According to a global survey of more than 1,200 senior executives by the
management consulting firm Bain & Company, 91% executives agree that “culture is as
important as strategy for business success”. Organizations can have a good strategy in place, but
if they don’t have the culture and the enabling systems that allow them to successfully
implement that strategy, the culture of the organization will defeat the strategy (Bain &
Company, 2007).
