Sanna Talja, Kimmo Tuominen and Reijo Savolainen’s paper “‘Isms’ in informationscience: constructivism, collectivism and constructionism” is somewhat different fromthe rest of the papers in this issue. The focus is here more on the identification, presentation and evaluation of what the authors see as three main approaches in LIStoday than it is a description of a classical external position and a discussion of itsreception and importance for LIS.
