Secure smoke detector to mounting plate
1. Plug the wire connector into the detector base.
2. Place the smoke detector up to the mounting plate, rotating it clockwise until smoke detector parallel to the mounting plate so upper and lower tabs on plate seat correctly into detector, figure G.
Checkout and troubleshooting
1. Turn test knob on each unit to the NORMAL position and supply power to the system control unit.
A. If the fire alarm sounds, one or more smoke detector connections to the fire detection circuit may be reserved. Check wire color codes and trace.
B. If the trouble buzzer sounds, the fire detection circuit may be reserved or disconnected at the control unit.
2. Testing with the test knob.
A. Rotate the test knob on the front of the unit to TEST 1 position ( counter- clockwise). See figure H. The alarm should sound in less than 20 seconds.
B. To reset the system, return the knob to its NORMAL position and use the reset switch on the system control panel. Hold in reset for 5 or more seconds.
C. To test smoke detector for high sensitivity, rotate test knob clockwise to the TEST 2 position. Alarm should remain silent. Return test knob to normal position. If your smoke detector alarmed during TEST 2, the smoke detector's sensitivity has become too high and may cause false alarms. This may mean your smoke detector is dirty and should be cleaned as described in the below maintenance procedure.

Thanh toán và khắc phục sự cố
1. Xoay núm thử nghiệm trên mỗi đơn vị đến vị trí NORMAL và cung cấp điện cho các thiết bị điều khiển hệ thống.
A. Nếu báo cháy âm thanh, một hoặc nhiều kết nối máy dò khói với mạch phát hiện lửa có thể được bảo lưu. Kiểm tra dây mã màu sắc và dấu vết.
B. Nếu còi rắc rối âm thanh, các mạch phát hiện lửa có thể được dự trữ hoặc bị ngắt kết nối tại các đơn vị kiểm soát.
2. Thử nghiệm với núm kiểm tra.
A. Xoay núm thử nghiệm trên mặt trước của đơn vị để KIỂM TRA 1 vị trí (đối ứng chiều kim đồng hồ). Xem hình H. báo động nên âm thanh trong vòng chưa đầy 20 giây.
B. Để thiết lập lại hệ thống, trở lại núm đến vị trí NORMAL của nó và sử dụng công tắc trên bảng điều khiển hệ thống. Giữ trong thiết lập lại cho 5 hoặc nhiều hơn giây.
C. Để kiểm tra máy dò khói cho độ nhạy cao, xoay núm kiểm tra chiều kim đồng hồ đến vị trí Test 2. Báo động nên giữ im lặng. Quay trở lại núm kiểm tra vị trí bình thường. Nếu phát hiện khói báo động trong KIỂM TRA 2, độ nhạy máy dò khói đã trở thành quá cao và có thể gây ra các báo động sai. Điều này có thể có nghĩa là máy dò khói của bạn là dơ bẩn và cần được làm sạch như mô tả trong quy trình bảo dưỡng dưới đây.
