The results confirm the principle potential of the photocatalytic degradation technology process for the abatement of emerging hazardous water pollutants. Furthermore, there are some indications that under these conditions, adsorption effects play an important role in the photocatalytic degradation behaviour and that the degradation behaviour might be different from results obtained from higher concentrated solutions. There is a lack of knowledge concerning the degradation behaviour and the complete decomposition of low concentrated pollutants. Only few publications focused on this problem [6].
